Alicia Keys has been confirmed as the show’s newest judge just hours after Miley Cyrus officially joined the panel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The girls replace the outgoing Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams, making season 11 the first to have gender parity in the hot seats.
They join Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, who have been in place since the show’s inception in 2011.
Alicia previously served as an advisor for Pharrell’s group during his season seven debut; Miley makes her debut as the key advisor this week for the current season.
The additions increase the likelihood of the singing competition’s first female winning coach.
Miley, 23, took to Twitter on Friday to confirm the news to the world with a simple, excited statement.
‘It’s true! I am going to be the newest judge on Season 11 of The Voice @NBCTheVoice #thevoice,’ she wrote.
The controversial singer and actress shared a still from this season, clad in a rainbow and tear drop print jumpsuit, featuring a heart panel.
In another post, the singer shared a side-by-side shot of herself on set of the Voice, as well on-location for an Woody Allen’s as yet untitled, ’60s set Amazon series.
