Catholic Priest abducted by Fulani herdsmen

A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Aniako Celestine, was on Saturday, abducted by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Owa community in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Father Celestine, who is in charge of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ukana, Udi LGA, was kidnapped on his way from his home town, Ezeagu.

Vanguard reports that the herdsmen have demanded a ransom of N10 million.

Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ebere Amaraizu, has confirmed the abduction of the priest.
