DB records boss, D’banj has set records straight over his supposed telecommunications switch which made rounds on social media.
Reacting to the supposed move is Dbanj’s manager, Frank who said D’banj has no dealings with MTN.
He also acknowledged that their management team saw the false news on various blogs but seized the opportunity to set the records straight.
“D’banj is not an MTN ambassador; he still has a contract with Globacom. We saw the report on some blogs that he has ‘switched over’ to MTN but it is false. D’banj’s record label, DKM, is doing business with MTN. The label is a vast license administrator and we do caller back tunes across all networks. A lot of people saw the news and assumed it is D’banj that moved to MTN but it is false, DKN is doing business with MTN”.
He continued saying that “There is a platform called the Cream Platform and it is for people in the creative industry especially the up and coming artistes who need support. What we did was that we developed a platform that would enable them send a message to a short code and if at the end of the month you are shortlisted, Cream would take the responsibility of fulfilling your request”.
