DailyMail has reported that ,Two sisters from Iowa are sharing a double-dose of tragedy after both of their husbands drowned in a Missouri Lake as one of the men tried to save the other.
Their family was enjoying a vacation at Lake of the Ozarks on water Monday, but their new Manitou pontoon boat started to drift away from the dock.
Jacob B. Seeman, 40, of Woodward, Iowa jumped into the water to grab it. However, Seeman wasn't physically fit as he has a history of back spasms and struggled in the water.
Seeing him in distress, his brother-in-law Dennis J. Michel, 46, of Ankeny, Iowa jumped in after, to save him.
Both men went underwater and did not come up for air.
The family witnessed the entire incident from beginning to end.
'Everybody is just devastated. They're numb,' family aunt Deborah Babb told the Des Moines Register.
