Former Super Eagles Player Named La Liga Ambassador

Former Super Eagles Skipper Mutiu Adepoju was on Tuesday named La Liga Ambassador in a ceremony in Madrid, Spain.

The 45 year old, who is the country manager of La Liga in Nigeria joined others such as Raul, Carles Puyol, David Villa as La Liga Ambassadors.

The La Liga Ambassadors are expected to represent and enhance the visibility of the top-tier Spanish league in their various localities.


Adepoju said: “It is a good one that La Liga is honouring me among other top players who have played in that league over years,”
“It is a sign of recognition and respect. La Liga must be commended for putting this together.”‎

Adepoju, played for Shooting Stars in the Nigeria premier league, and the likes of Racing Santander and Real Sociedad in La Liga.
