German Police Investigating Possible Terrorist Link After at Least 4 Injured in Munich Stabbing

German police say a man has been arrested after stabbing several people at a suburban train station at Grafing, close to Munich, early Tuesday morning.

The Associated Press reports that at least four, possibly five, people were wounded in the knife attack. According to the New York Times, one of them has died. Other reports said witnesses heard the attacker shouting in Arabic during the assault, raising the possibility of a link to Islamist terrorism.

The AP cited police spokeswoman Michaela Grob saying the police were working to identify the attacker.

According to the BBC, witnesses claimed the man shouted “Allahu akbar” — God is great — during the attacks. The claims have not been verified. More developments are expected as the story unfolds.
