Jose Mourinho has arrived at Old Trafford for the first time as Manchester United manager as he takes charge of England at Soccer Aid.
There had been talk that Mourinho would defer responsibilities over to Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce , who is his assistant for the team comprising of celebrities and legends.
But the 53-year-old will take charge and he arrived in a cheerful mood as he entered the stadium alongside his all-star cast including the likes of Robbie Williams , Olly Murs , Jake Whitehal, John Bishop , Damian Lewis, Mark Wright and One Direction star Louis Tomlinson.
Former England players Jamie Carragher, David Seaman, Phil Neville, Sol Campbell and Jermain Defoe are also in the squad and set to feature.
It’s the first time United fans in attendance will get to see the Special One in the home dugout.
Mourinho, who will go up against Claudio Ranieri’s Rest of the World side featuring two-time FIFA world player of the year Ronaldinho, replaced Louis van Gaal in charge of United almost two weeks ago.
Three-time World Cup winner Pele also received a warm reception as he turned up as the game’s special guest.
He signed a three-year deal believed to worth £15million-per-year and is already working hard on bringing in a host of new signings.
Free agent Zlatan Ibrahimovic is among those targets and is expected to sign for United imminently.
Mourinho will hope a victory for his all-star England team will be the first trophy he gets his hands on as Manchester United.
