Can any sinner go unpunished? This question is to draw our consciousness to the certain end of a sinner.
Judgment will surely come upon any person, no matter how highly place in society, who sins against God or humanity.
A sinner is a person who transgresses against divine law by committing an immoral act or acts. For the purpose of this article a sinner is anyone that transgresses against constituted law and authority or fall below standard moral principles.
No one is exempted, be it a poor farmer in a remote village, a wealthy businessman in an urban settlement or highest political officer in the land, if you unrepentantly fall below a required standard, there is a punishment for you either in this world or the life after.
There is a popular saying that ‘it is the God of old that delays justice, the God of now serves quick justice.’
How do you explain ex-presidents going to prison, or being lynched by a mob? What could cause the death of a rich man’s entire family? It is most likely judgment for a wrong they committed being visited on them and their often innocent family.
The Holy bible, giving credence to the above in the book of Ezekiel 18vs2 say “The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge”, Numbers 14vs18b show that God visits the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.
Beside outright sin against God by disobeying his commandments, we also sin against him by breaking rule and laws of the land. Our careless disposal of morals and values are all actions (sins) with consequences (judgments).
Have you seen how we act and talk! No one cares to hide anything anymore, people exhibit their wickedness on international television and in public places, as perversion has become the order of the day. Who cares anymore? Shamelessness is now lauded as sincerity and integrity put to practice. Can you believe that?
There is nothing new under the heaven, adulterers fornicators, idolaters, cultists, homosexuals, lesbian, perverts, you name them, are not new. They have been around for a long time; it was just that they usually hide their faces in shame then, but that was “once upon a time” now as it is said, “gone are those days” what a shame.
People who hide their faces in shame now work the streets with pride and with their heads held up high, will they now go without being punished?
Lastly, sinners who sleep resting their legs on others as pillow, a day is ahead when you will find it difficult to get a stone as pillow, and you, who use others as ladder and staircase, a day is coming when you will fall unaware.
There is vengeance ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? No sinners will go without being punished.
