John Legend has come out swinging against Donald Trump, saying he's 'manifestly unqualified' to be president and that he 'can't say anything nice' about him.
Legend, who backed Clinton during the election, was asked about his opinions on the new president while on the red carpet at the TIME 100 Gala on Tuesday - and he didn't mince his words.
'I think he's a terrible president,' he told TMZ. 'He's manifestly unqualified, not curious, not good at legislating or doing anything that his job requires.'
'He doesn't have any depth about any subject and he's also using the office of the presidency to make money for himself and his businesses, so he's corrupt,' The 'All of Me' singer alleged.
'I can't say anything nice about the guy. I think he's one of the worst people I've ever encountered in public life.'
Legend was more positive about Barack Obama, however, and defended him from complaints that he had given speeches to Wall Street for $400,000.
Obama's detractors said that was hypocritical since he had previously been 'against Wall Street,' TMZ ventured.
'I think it's a silly distinction,' Legend said. 'He was never against Wall Street.'
