The wreckage of EgyptAir flight MS804, which disappeared over the Mediterranean early Thursday (May 19) in route from Paris to Cairo, has been found.The airline’s vice president, Ahmed Adel, told CNN that the aircraft was located near Greece’s Karpathos Island on Thursday afternoon, hours after the plane lost contact with radar.
The airline later confirmed the news in a series of tweets:
There is no word yet on the fate of the 66 missing people who were on board the plane, including 10 crew members and 56 passengers, three of them children.
