Someone clearly offended by Donald Trump’s presidential campaign took action this weekend to symbolically bury his aspirations.
A tombstone displaying the name “Trump” below a cross surfaced in Central Park in the vicinity of the Tavern on the Green. The stone for “Donald J.” adds a year of birth (1946), but no date of death.
The epitaph on the gravestone: “Made America Hate Again.”
Photos of the tombstone popped up on Instagram, Twitter and several websites.
The headstone was removed by Sunday evening. There were no clues as to who placed it there, but a spokesperson at the city Parks Department said its workers hauled the gravestone away.
