Tamara Ecclestone has been pictured without her wedding ring for the first time.
The Formula One heiress was said to have called in lawyers to start discussions on how to end her marriage to Jay Rutland on Tuesday, when she appeared to take off the ring for a walk that afternoon.
The 31-year-old was pictured in Battersea Park, London with their two-year-old daughter, Sophia, as she tried to go about life as normal.
Tamara, dressed in her workout gear, balanced her toddler on her hip as they enjoyed some time flying solo in the sunshine.
It was no doubt a welcome distraction for the pair, since her main priority in the separation said to be 'protecting Sophia' and 'upholding the Ecclestone family reputation.'
On Tuesday morning, The Sun claimed that the socialite, who wed the banker in 2013 has told her inner circle that their relationship is 'effectively over'.
It is alleged that things are so strained that the pair are sleeping in separate rooms at her £70million London home.
A source tells newspaper: 'The relationship was strained before Jay’s court case but this has been the final straw. They live in the same house but are no longer in the same bedroom. She has been open that their marriage is effectively over.
'Her first priority is protecting Sophia and upholding the family’s reputation so she won’t make any announcements in a hurry.'
A spokesperson for Ecclestone had no comment when contacted about the claims.
