The body of producer, Babatunde Okungbowa, popularly known as OJB Jezreel, was laid to rest on Friday at the Ikoyi Cemetery, Lagos.
The late music producer was buried in the same spot as his mother at the family vault in the cemetery.
Before the interment, a funeral service was held for the deceased at the Redeemed Christian Church, Ogunlana Drive, Surulere. Thereafter, his body was conveyed in a casket and taken to the burial ground.
Family, friends and fans turned out in large number to mourn the veteran producer who had made a major impact in the Nigerian music industry and they couldn’t hold back their tears as his remains was laid to rest.
Publisher, Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, was among the personalities who turned out for the burial.
Meanwhile, a service of song was also held on behalf of the late OJB at O’Jez restaurant and events centre at the National Stadium, Lagos last Thursday.
The event was jam-packed with so many celebrities who also turned out to pay their tributes and respect to the producer.
Aged 49, OJB died on June 14, 2016 after a protracted battle with kidney related disease. He is survived by three wives and eight children.
