Ola Orekunrin, the founder of Flying Doctors Nigeria, has disclosed that she contracted coronavirus. She was also placed on oxygen because she stopped breathing.

Ola revealed via her Twitter handle, she was on oxygen for over a week. She opened up months after contracting the virus, she still shows symptoms of the ailment.
”This year I was almost kidnapped on the way to a healthcare project in the notorious Birnin Gwari Local Government area.
I also had COVID19. Despite being fit with no pre-existing conditions, I stopped breathing (a medical emergency) and had to be on oxygen for a week.
Months later, I still have symptoms of Long COVID and am still recovering gradually. One of our oldest board members died. He was a chartered accountant who taught me a lot about portfolio management and hedging. 2020, was a tough year with both highs and lows.”her tweet read
