Popular Nigerian disk jockey and singer, DJ Cuppy, has joined other Nigerians to speak out against the abuse of power by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
In a recent tweet shared to her Twitter account, the Original Copy crooner asked Nigerians to forgive her for not speaking out concerning the police brutality many Nigerians have suffered
The billionaire’s daughter who revealed she was going against the advice of people around her noted that even though she wasn’t affected by this, her fans were and that was enough reason for her to speak out.
“Going against the advice of those around me, but it doesn’t feel right. Silence can say so much. My fellow Nigerians, forgive me for taking so long to comment. “I would lying if I said I’m DIRECTLY affected by SARS but a lot of my Cupcakes are and that’s enough for me to care. I stand behind the movement to #EndPoliceBrutality AND #EndSAR
