Igbos:Taking to social media, Twitter user, @therealMaryUfot shared a conversation she had with a real estate agent.
And Nigerians have taken to social media to express understandable shock, after it was revealed that a Lagos landlord had barred Igbo people from renting his property.
The Igbo people are a meta-ethnicity native to the present-day south-central and southeastern Nigeria and also Equatorial Guinea.
During the conversation, the agent was keen on knowing her state of origin, and upon revealing that she is from Akwa Ibom state, the agent stated that she won’t be allowed to rent the property.
According to the agent, the house is only open to non Igbo people, and people from Akwa Ibom are mostly Igbo.
I have come again. So aside working class wahala, Lagos people still pick tribes too. We dey shout change and telling govt to do dis and that when within ourselves we hate ourselves.
So this story I heard of the hatred for Igbos in Lagos is real?
