Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has disclosed that Lagos will become Africa’s third largest economy.
The former Nigerian Obasanjo made this known on Wednesday at a book launch.
The book titled “Making Africa Work”, was co-authored by the former president and three other authors, Greg Mills, Director of Brenthurst Foundation; Jeffrey Herbst, President of NEWSEUM and Dickie Davis, a retired major general.
According to the former President, the Lagos State government is working towards making the state an economic hub, a venture that would come to fruition before he passes on.
He also stated that plans are underway between Brenthurst Foundation and Lagos state government to make the state the third largest economy on the continent.
He said: “(Even though) People said I look like someone who is in the departure lounge,”, “Lagos will become the third largest economy before I take my boarding pass.”
