Samuel Chukwueze was in action while Kelechi Nwakali made his much-awaited La Liga debut as Huesca played out a 1-1 draw against Villarreal.
Two minutes into the game, Chukwueze gave his side a chance to open the scoring after Javi Galan had brought him down, but the resulting free-kick didn’t make any impact.
In the 12th minute, the Nigeria international continued his impressive displays as he delivered a fine cross into the box but Huesca defenders cleared it up.
Both sides have missed a number of chances before Pablo Maffeo broke the deadlock for the Oscenses in the 42nd minute after Juan Carlos set him up
After the restart, Villarreal fought back and made a number of attempts to level proceedings and finally the moment came when VAR adjudicated Pablo Maffeo to have handled the ball in the area.
Subsequently, Referee Xavier Estrada Fernandez signaled a penalty and Gerard Moreno calmly dispatched his effort inside the 68th minute.
Nwakali came into the encounter for Juan Carlos and had a pass rate of 100 percent to help his side win a point at Estadio de la Ceramica.
Meanwhile, Chukwueze featured for the duration of the game, hit three shots, passed two key passes and had 67 touches.
Nwakali will hope to make his full La Liga debut when Huesca take on Cadiz in their next league game while Chukwueze’s Villarreal will tackle Eibar.
