Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage spoke lengthily about her rise in the entertainment industry, challenges and her life in general.
In a recent interview hosted by Ebuka on Bounce Radio Live, the Koroba crooner said that major record labels in Nigeria refused to sign her at the beginning of her career. The reason she created one with former manager and ex-husband, Teebillz.
On why she went back to Mavin records, Tiwa stated that she went back after being originally rejected because Don Jazzy was an amazing producer who created stars and the label also felt like family.
She mentioned that she left Mavin years later because she wanted to take the risk of being on her own even though it was a scary move, and added that sometimes people had to leave for other acts to grow. The singer further said that male artistes were always excused for some behaviors but females always got thrown under the bus for doing the same thing.
