Europa League draw as Arsenal, Tottenham and Leicester group opponents confirmed
Arsenal will face Irish minnows Dundalk after being paired together in the Europa League group stage.
Mikel Arteta’s men were among the top seeds and were promptly placed into Group B, having been handed direct passage to the group stage
after their FA Cup success last term.
There they will meet the Irish side – in their first group stage appearance in Europe –
as well as Rapid Vienna and Molde, in what is a kind draw for the Gunners.
Tottenham, who booked their place in the Europa League group stage with a thumping 7-2 win over Maccabi Haifa in their playoff on Thursday night, were also among the top seeds.
And Jose Mourinho – twice a winner of this competition – saw his side placed into Group J alonside Qarabag, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Sivasspor.
Celtic were also a first seed, with Neil Lennon’s men placed in Group H.
But they have been handed a nightmare draw, with AC Milan, Sparta Prague and the most dangerous of the fourth seeds, French outfit Lille.
Leicester head into Group G to face Braga, AEK Athens and Zorya Luhansk, while Rangers were placed in Group D, where they’ll meet Benfica, Standard Liege and Lech Poznan.
