The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has revealed the date for the resumption of the academic exercises Rayoonline reports.
In the revised academic calendar published on Wednesday, the tertiary institution revealed that online classes would commence on January 25, 2021.
It also stated that the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic session will run until April 1, 2021.
The school has been under lock and key for almost a year due to the strike embarked upon by ASUU which is occasioned by the imbroglio between the Federal government and the union. The situation has been further compounded by the searing resurgence of the malignant COVID-19 pandemic which is spurred by the second wave.
The development has prompted the federal government to shut down all schools in order to prevent the spread of the disease. The government had initially directed schools to resume on January 18 but the presidential task for COVID-19 last week said the date might not be feasible, adding that the date was a tentative one and subject to review in light of the alarming increase in COVID-19 cases.
